RCC 204: The User Experience You may have heard of this buzz word flying around called User Experience or "UX". I am going to walk you through what in the world UX is, relating back to past business practices, customer service, websites etc.
We will look at some big business like Rogers and Via Rail and how they have changed their mentality about the "Customer" to a "User" (from an outsiders perspective)
We will then relate this all back to PodCasting, Social Media, and the like in a group discussion.

RCC 203: Social Media Focus Group Many mainstream marketers see the rise of social media as an unanticipated occurrence, an exception to the typical behaviour expected within social and communication fields.
The upswell of popularity for all things social media is not only logical but predictable, especially when the similarities to comparable revolutions are examined.
At least, that's the hypothesis.
This session encourages all participants to set aside the rose-tinted glasses that emphasizes novelty and filters out commonalities. It will not only provide a balance to this exciting subject but can potentially provide a platform from which future predictions can be made.
